non-delivery of a parcel on account of the enemy
nationality of the addressee should be ascertained from
Hong Kong on a special form which would contain a specific statement of the option (if any) allowed to the sender,
It might be in some such terms as these:-
"The authorities controlling the censorship have forbidden the delivery of the parcel(s) described below,
on the ground that the addressee is an enemy subject,
The redirection of the parcel(s) to another
address in China is not permitted; it (they) will be
returned to the sender if a request to that effect is
received from him within six months of the date of this
notice, together with an undertaking to pay the return
postage; otherwise it (they) will be regarded as abandoned
Copies of this letter are being sent to the
